Liability waiver

Settings → Liability waiver is company-admin only. Instructors do not see the signature list.

For studio admins

Students can still book a class or buy a membership without signing. Check-in is blocked until they have signed some waiver. An older version still allows check-in; the roster shows a notice to ask them to sign the updated text.

On the public studio site, a client types their name, checks “I agree,” confirms they are 18 or older, and chooses yes or no for photo/video marketing. No is allowed. Guests sign the same way when a member books them. Guest email is required so the studio has a record.

If you change the title or body and save, FitnessClass publishes a new version. Older signatures stay on file and still count for check-in. Ask those people to sign the new text when you see them. Saving the same text does not bump the version.

The Signatures tab lists who signed, client vs guest, version, time, 18+ confirmation, and photo consent. Search by name or email, export CSV, or download a PDF of that signed version. The same Download PDF action is on the client profile Details tab when the current waiver is signed.

This software does not give legal advice. Have your own counsel review waiver wording before you rely on it.

Check-in looks at the signed person’s login and email, not only the roster row, so a desk-created booking still matches a later storefront account. Download PDF uses the text they signed, not a later draft.
