How student charges work
Memberships, packs, drop-ins, and fees charge the studio Stripe secret key — not Stripe Connect.
Who can do this: Studio managers connect Stripe and see membership finance. Front desk can sell at the desk.
What students pay
Subscriptions, packs, drop-ins, Checkout, the Customer Portal, and no-show or late-cancel fees use Settings → Integrations (studio secret key).
They do not use Stripe Connect Account Links, destination charges, or the platform software key.
Processing fees
Pass processing fees to client is a single studio toggle. When on, eligible Checkout lines add a labeled Card processing fee. Off by default. That fee is calculated from the listed package price before a promo code is typed.
Purchase email
Paid memberships, subscriptions (first invoice), and class packages send a studio-branded purchase confirmation. Turn that off next to the booking-confirmation toggle under Email Templates. Recurring renewals do not send again.
Gotchas
- Settings → Subscription is the studio SaaS bill, not student class payments.
- Failed membership payments on the Memberships sales view open in this studio’s Stripe (test or live, matching the connected key).
